"Today we had social studies rotations, we watched a video about the Whitman's and added more to the banner that we're doing." ~ Carrie

"The Whitman's were two people that came across the Rocky Mountains, they helped the Native Americans. Mrs. Whitman helped them learn to sew, cook, knit and speak English. The husband was a doctor and he helped those that were sick. The Whitman's were actually carrying Small Pox and Measles, which they passed onto the Native American's." ~ Kaydin
